Musasir: Menua, King of Urartu (Kingdom of Ararat) Receives Bow and Arrow from Goddess Nane

"Musasir: Menua, King of Urartu (Kingdom of Ararat) Receives Bow and Arrow from Goddess Nane"
32"x48", oil on linen (2013)
Originally, I started this painting as Goddess Nane passing the sword to the King.  After I saw the medallion where God Haldi passes a bow and arrow to the King, I changed the sword in the painting to a bow and arrow.  This was important because of the fact that Armenians were recognized as great archers in ancient times.
